I know this isn’t a film but Frasier is one of my all time favorite sitcoms and one of my favorite episodes is The Voyage of the Damned episode taps into many peoples worst fears about what a cruise is like. Unless you are desperate for a cruise ship movie I would personally give this one a pass. It has a book that has warranted many adaptions including the recent 2020 version with Gal Godot and Kenneth Branagh. Personally I prefer the older versions but any of the films will delight any murder mystery fan.

The third installment of the live-action chipmunks series, which dates to 2011, is set on cruise giant Carnival's 3,646-passenger Carnival Dream. Or, at least, it is — until the chipmunks get blown away while flying a kite and end up on a deserted island. A classic romance film in which the characters meet and fall in love on an ocean liner. It’s a transatlantic ship, not a traditional cruise, but the setting is similar. I must admit to not being a fan of the Carry on films despite being British and brought up on these films.

Cruise Ship Killers Season 2 is an American true-crime drama series. Maybe that’s why this not-so-self-serious flick from the director of 1999’s The Mummy has picked up a cult following. The story follows mercenaries intending to rob a luxury cruise ship, but little do they know, the ship is under siege by way of tentacled-creatures who are very hungry for human flesh.

After being fished out of the sea by a sailer, three fugitives find themselves prisoners of the ship's brutal skipper who refuses to put them ashore and they hatch an escape plan during a crew mutiny. A baby boy discovered on an ocean liner in 1900 grows into a musical prodigy, never setting foot on land. A seventeen-year-old aristocrat falls in love with a kind but poor artist aboard the luxurious, ill-fated R.M.S. Titanic. Sequal to Dorm Daze has most of the original group of college students on a cruise ship in the Pacific, putting on a school play which takes a turn involving the theft of a priceless diamond. Spinoff of the hit Disney Channel series "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody," in which twin brothers Zack and Cody Martin and hotel heiress London Tipton enroll in a semester-at-sea program aboard a ship called the S.S. A young man joins the crew of a cruise ship in order to investigate the disappearance of his sister.

Filmed in a semi-documentary style, A Night to Remember sticks closely to the facts of the ship’s sinking, unimpeded by fictional sub-plots. This riveting film portrays the events of the fateful night of 15th April 1912 from the perspective of the luxury liner’s second officer, Charles Lightoller (Kenneth More). This melodrama directed by Leo McCarey and starring Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr is considered to be one of the most romantic films of all time. Cowed by her domineering mother, middle-aged neurotic Boston heiress Charlotte Vale (a stupendous Bette Davis) takes a cruise after a restorative stay in a sanatorium. Whilst on board, she falls in love with the married Jerry (Paul Henreid). Dagwood disguises himself as a drummer in the ship's conga band to sneak aboard a South American cruise ship.

This "story of a ship", the British destroyer H.M.S. Torrin, is told in flashbacks by survivors as they cling to a life raft. The World War II story of the Royal Navy's effort to defeat Nazi Germany's most powerful warship. The tragic 1939 voyage of SS St. Louis carrying hundreds of German Jewish refugees from Nazi Germany that seemingly no nation is willing to save from certain doom.

Pullmantur was dedicated to the Spanish-speaking market, so this is one more comedy that is dubbed in English. Keanu Reeves was wise to decline the lead role in this lame sequel to Speed. In his place, Jason Patric teamed up with Sandra Bullock as they battled to get all of the passengers on a Caribbean cruise to safety when disaster strikes.

With his radio and navigation equipment disabled, he sails unknowingly into a violent storm and barely escapes with his life. With any luck, the ocean currents may carry him into a shipping lane -- but, with supplies dwindling and the sharks circling, the sailor is forced to face his own mortality. Wes Anderson’s incisive quirky comedy build up stars complex characters like in ‘The Royal Tenenbaums’ with Bill Murray on in the leading role. An ocean adventure documentary film maker Zissou is put in all imaginable life situations and a tough life crisis as he attempts to make a new film about capturing the creature that caused him pain.
